in order to study Australian magpies movement and social dynamics, scientists designed a tough, tiny, light-weighted trackers with a magnetic removing system. They attached these trackers on five magpies. On the first day, they saw several magpies tried to help one of the magpies to remove the tracker, and they succeeded. And in just three days, all of the trackers were dismantled. Magpies are highly intelligent birds and are great at problem solving; even though the planned research was not successful, the team has discovered this selfless cooperative rescue behavior of these magpies.
