海水溫度暖化問題，令原居大西洋的藍蟹於十年前開始遷居到亞得里亞海成為入侵物種，甚至入侵河流、內陸水域等。因牠們是較為侵略性的捕食者，導致當區的魚類數量大減，嚴重影響生態平衡。當地漁民亦表示他們的漁獲大多都是這些沒市場價格的藍蟹，難以再靠捕魚為生。

Warming sea temperatures caused blue crabs to started to move from the Atlantic to the Adriatic waters a decade ago. they became invasive species and can be found in different habitats including inland waters and rivers. They are aggressive and causing local fishes to disappear, damaging the eco system. it is harder for the local fishermen to reply on fishing for a living, because most of their catch are these blue crabs that they can’t sell.
