斯里蘭卡近年流行於果實內藏炸藥來獵殺野豬作野味食用，當炸藥被動物咬下就會隨即爆炸，其嘴巴、舌頭及食道等都會被炸破，並導致死亡或因無法進食而餓死。但這些餌除了威脅野豬亦禍及其他野生動物，更成為大象主要死亡原因之一。

When the bait is bitten by an animal, it would explode and destroy its month, tongue and esophagus, etc., the animal would then die in pain or starve to death due to unable to eat. These baits not only treating wild boars and other wildlife, it has also become one of the primary cause of elephant deaths.
