鷹獵在英國屬非物質文化遺產，政府發出牌照容許鷹獵人從野生游隼巢取雛鳥作養殖訓練，並規定只能在有多於三隻雛鳥的情況下取最弱小的。游隼在七十年代於英國曾面臨滅絕，雖然現時大部分地區數量穩定，但保育團體認為這樣會帶來錯誤訊息，並有機會助長非法貿易及影響游隼的棲息地，認為鷹獵人可使用圈養的游隼，無必要容許他們干擾野生動物。

falconry is recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in England. The government allows falconers with permit to take the smallest and weakest chick from wild peregrine falcon nest if there were three or more chicks. Peregrine falcons were once faced extinction in the 1970s, even though their population is stable now, conservationists think these licenses, conservationists think these license could send the wong message, lead to increasing number of illegal trade and affect the falcons’ habitat. They believe falconers can use captive birds for cultural purposes and should not disturb the wild population.
