各地科學家發現在不受監控的情況下，有約1,264種蛛形綱動物被廣泛在網絡上販賣，當中約有67%是野生捕獲的。蛛形綱動物包括蜘蛛、蝎子及盲蛛，因為牠們體積細小，亦無法被檢測器檢測得到，很容易被成功走私。蛛形綱動物的分布非常廣泛，但對於牠們的研究實在太少，很多物種缺乏基本資料、分布或保育情況等，無法評估全球蛛形綱動物貿易對生態造成的的影響。

Scientists discovered extensive unmonitored global arachnid trade of 1264 species on the Internet, with 67% of them captured from the wild. Arachnids includes spiders, scorpions and harvestmen; due to their small size, they are unable to detect by x-ray or thermal cameras, and make it easy to smuggle around the world. Arachnids are very diversified but lack of study; many of them do not have basic details, distribution or conservation status data; further research is needed to understand the impact of such large global arachnids trade.
