近期因有些instagramers 於社交媒體上分享寵物水獺的發文，掀起了水獺熱，令水獺於亞洲市上的需求大增，吸引越來越多人於印尼、泰國等地非法野生捕捉小水獺作出口交易。水獺曾被濫獵取其皮毛而受威脅，所有亞洲水獺物種也屬瀕危動物。

Some instagramers have been posting photos of their pet otters on social medias, and started an pet otter trend. This leads to an increasing demand for otter in the pet markets, and attracting people to capture baby otters in the wild illegally in different countries like Indonesia and Thailand for exporting. Otters were threatened because of illegal fur trades, and all of the otter species in Asia are listed as endangered animals.
