A Sitatunga antelope choked to death after consuming a plastic cap in a zoo in the USA. the plastic cap was from a squeezable pouch; the zoo prohibits visitors from bringing these food pouches as well as other items like plastic straws and glass bottles because of the potential risk to their animal’s safety. Zoo veterinarians were unable to remove the cap in the 7-year-old antelope. Sitatunga antelopes are found in the wild in central Africa, and can live up to 22 years
