Churchill in Canada is known as the polar bear capital of the world because it locates in the middle of a natural polar bear corridor. However, the ice melt early in the spring because of climate change, so hundreds of bears are around or even inside the town area. So far, conservation officers has received 78 calls this year for help to move bears away from town, but last year were fewer than 20 calls.
