Researchers found plastic rocks on Trinidad Island, a remote island in Brazil. Melted plastic debris (mainly fishing nets) merged with natural material at the beach and formed some blue-greenish rocks. This island is one of the world’s most important conservation and breeding spots for green turtles, as well as other wildlife like crabs, seabirds and fish.
