Researchers discovered male orchid bees collect scents in the pockets on their hid legs for attracting females and increasing reproduction success. Male orchid bees create their own “perfume” with different pollen they collect and store on their hind legs. They then spread the fragrance by repeatedly moving their legs and vibration of their wings to attract females.
