In mid November, more than 1.1 million gallons of oil have spilled into the Gulf of Mexico. The spill occurred near where the critically endangered Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle and rice’s whale inhabit. The spills can put both species and other wildlife in danger. The pipeline was closed down since the incident was discovered.
