Researchers discovered Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins in the northern Red Sea will rub themselves against corals when they suffer from irritated skin. By rubbing these corals, they will released mucus that contain different antibacterial compounds. The dolphins even appear to rub different areas of their body with particular corals species as well.
