Swift parrot is critically endangered with only around 750 birds left in the wild. They’re mainly threatened by habitat loss. They only breed in Tasmania, but one of their important breeding forest is being logged recently. The logging agency claim there was no swift parrot in the area when the logging happened, but that is because the birds spend their winter in other locations, but return for nesting in the summer.
