Pokhara airport in Nepal is opening next year, but there is a landfill site nearby that attracted several endangered vulture species like slender-billed vulture and white-rumped vulture to feed. Conservationists are concerning about the high risk of aircraft-bird collisions but there is not enough time to move the landfill site or to relocate these birds.
