大角金龜屬（𝘎𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘴）是棲息於非洲森林的大型甲蟲。牠們的幼蟲以腐爛的有機物為食，幫助森林中的養分循環，是生態系統中重要的角色。然而，由於森林砍伐、棲息地破碎化及過度開發，大角金龜的數量大量下降，而當中一個主要原因是可可種植園的擴張。除了失去棲息地喪失，這些甲蟲亦一直被野採售賣，大多透過網上平台交易。
Goliath Beetles (Genus 𝘎𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘴) are large colorful beetles native to the tropical forests in Africa. These beetles play an important role in the ecosystem; their larvae feed on decaying organic matter and facilitating nutrient cycling throughout the forest. However, study indicate these Goliath beetles at risk because of deforestation, habitat fragmentation and overexploitation, and one of the major reasons is for cocoa plantation expansion. Beside these threats, these beetles are also being collected in the wild for online insect trades.
