New research found that cuttlefish are waving their arms in distinctive signals for communicating visually and by vibration. Researchers recorded these signals and play back to a cuttlefish, they will sign back with same or different signs. Researchers also recorded sounds underwater to capture the vibrations of these signs, without seeing the sign they can also feel the water pressure changes and responded to the playbacks.
