Study on seabirds with plastic exposure shows chicks with high level of ingested plastic demonstrated significant negative health issues. These issues include cell lysis, multi-organ dysfunction, stomach, liver and kidney damages, as well as brain damage, similar to Alzheimer’s disease. One of the 90-day-old chicks vomited 403 pieces of plastic.
