Three municipal nurseries in São Paulo, Brazil, produce 1.5 million native seedlings each year, including many threatened and little-known native plants. These seedlings mainly use for urban streets, city parks as well as urban reforestation projects like mini-forest areas in urban areas. They named these forests after a bird, and plant specific trees to attract the chosen bird. These nurseries are also good for collecting information and study many forgotten plant species for science.
