極危的山地大猩猩的基因與人類非常相似，一般感冒等疾病都會被人類傳染至死亡。為防範大猩猩感染武漢肺炎，盧旺達保護區內的護林員及研究員都要帶上口罩、常洗手、每日檢查體溫，並減少與大猩猩接觸的時間，及保持比以往更遠的安全距離。

Mountain gorillas are critically endangered, and are closely related to human; they could get diseases like common cold from human and died. To prevent the chance of being infected with COVID-19, rangers and researchers working in the protected area in Rwanda are now wearing masks, washing hands frequently and checking body temperature daily. They are also reducing contact and time with the gorillas and keeping extra safer distance aways from them.
